I posted some more of our stuff on craigslist in my effort to work through that list of household chores you gave me. You’re getting excited about getting rid of some of the junk we don’t want and bringing some money in. You’re liking selling stuff on craigslist so much that we decided to start buying stuff at garage sales and such just so we can sell them there. I hope this doesn’t end up in an accumulation of stuff we don’t want. That would be ironic.
I’m notoriously bad at doing special household projects. Sure, I do my share of cleaning, but some projects I leave undone for months. That’s why I asked you on day 107 to make a list of projects or whatever that you need me to do. You gave me that list on Sunday and yesterday I completed one of its items. I’m hoping to complete every item on the list in the coming weeks, but I’m not making any promises: the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
Yesterday I wrote you out a “coupon” good for any three chores/tasks you’d like me to do in our home. Once you specify the chores, they’ll be my top priority! (I’ll report back on this blog once I’ve finished the tasks.) I admit that you often ask me to do things around the house, I say I’ll get around to them, and I never do. I’m sorry.
By the way, yesterday I picked up Tina Fey’s Bossypants from the library for you (see day 15) . I’m surprised it took so long to arrive, but at least it’s here. You glowed with delight when I gave you the book and you immediately started reading it. I’d like to read it as well. Maybe we can do it together.
